About Gintar
From Basel, Switzerland, Gintar provides application-security reviews for founders shipping quickly. We find the security debt, explain why it matters and help you work out what to fix.
Why this exists
I kept coming across fast-built apps that worked on the surface but had security problems underneath. Getting a product working and checking whether it can be misused are different jobs.
I want Gintar to make that second job easier to buy and easier to understand. Clear packages, agreed scope and reports that are useful to the person making the fix.
The work behind it

My background includes authorised security testing at a Fortune Global 500 company, where I assessed an AI-powered application feature. I also work on bug bounties and develop HuntX, my security-testing tooling.
That experience informs how I approach a review: understand the application, test assumptions and support findings with evidence. Tools help with the work. The deliverable is a validated report, not an unfiltered scanner export.

Why Gintar?
The name comes from the Lithuanian word gintaras, meaning amber. Amber preserves what was caught in resin. For Gintar, that is a useful image for software that ships with bugs still inside it.
There is another connection: amber is a warning, not a declaration that everything has failed. A security review is a chance to investigate before a weakness becomes an incident.
You do not need a security team to start asking the right questions about your app.
